Ancor Adds Seagate Executive to Board

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Ancor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANCR) announced today that
Michael Huntley, former senior vice president of worldwide disc drive sales for Seagate Technology Inc., has
joined Ancor's board of directors.

Huntley has over 27 years of executive experience in the data storage industry. In addition to his recent position
at Seagate, he has been senior vice president and general manager of Seagate's Removable Storage Solutions
and vice president of Seagate's Americas' sales.

Huntley began his career in 1971 as manager of sales for Control Data Corporation's Components Division. For
the next 17 years he held various executive positions with Control Data, including vice president of sales for the
Atlantic and Central regions of the U.S., and later vice president of Worldwide Sales for the company's Data
Storage Division, Imprimis.

Ken Hendrickson, Ancor chairman and chief executive officer, said, "Mike's excellent business sense has
