The FCC's allocation of the U-NII Band offers computer users in schools, libraries, businesses, and hospitals the ability to connect wirelessly to one another and to the Internet, for the first time at the data rates required to communicate today's multimedia content. It also permits users to establish, for the first time, their own longer-reach wideband "community networks" in municipalities and throughout many rural areas. None of these U-NII applications requires a radio license, and the U-NII band is available to everyone. Notice this is for businesses and private citizens! David
