That's my take on it too but time will tell. LU was talking up big time about acquiring smaller fish and building in-house and not needing to swallow somebody big which would be risky. Either it was a smokescreen because everyone was anticipating the merger or they've realized its too late to acquire a la CISCO (small bites) and have gotten desperate. LU will be a force to reckon with if they pull this off but that's yet to be seen. Mergers are a b&^%&! Claude (rhymes with TOAD)
