TJ..XDSL.. Yesterday SBC announced a 'major' "XDSL" roll-out in their service areas.. Today BEL and AOL announced a 'major" "XDSL" roll-out for their service area.. This is the "high speed" i-net access over POT's but you have to be within 3 miles of a Telco central office..its the RBOC's answer to cable-modem roll-outs by the cable guys and supposed to be 50X faster than a 56kbs connection..on all the time yada yada... I know ALA and MOT (copper-gold modems) are SBC suppliers but AWRE..PAIR..WSTL are big in this technology..I checked the SI boards for the above cos. but no-one seemed to know who gets the equipment order $$$$$$$.. This is "BIG" and we should figure out how to play.... Jim in CT..
