daniel if you are trying to short and don't have the capital to withstand a run up try options even the big boyz are feeling paaaaaain from shorting the internets ;-) you can make more money trading the stock( and you don't have time erosion, volatility premiums blah blah blah)....but your capital loss can be less with just buying a put...and no margin requirement just a thought
