To all -chatted with my broker today,he said that Lucent and Ascend deal is suportive of Tellab's and rest of telecom eqt. makers in that Lucent paid a $3 billion or 17 % premium for Ascent (his figures). This would put at least a similiar up price on Tellab's. 1/12/98 Tlab price of $7.60 times 117 %=$90/share. Also further mergers to come in this area. At $81.12 today so far, or up 4.6% a nice little run up in a such a early panic bear day.(we have decent sales to Brazil in place for 1999)
