I suspect that Dale may be right, and that Sun's valuation is not rational. Sure, SUNW may be cheaper and more rational than, say, Amazon.com, but that is not saying much! Or, put another way, I cannot compellingly make a case for these prices based on valuation; I can only rationalize and compare Sun to other overpriced stocks, and thus I have become a momentum / greater-fool-theory player. However, as a greater-fool-theory player, I have the security of being high up on the pyramid. My split-adjusted price was under $10, and I have little fear of Sun approaching those levels any time in 1999. -Alex
