Hello all,

I have ANOTHER question/partial prayer request for all. I've recently come to the conclusion that I haven't been trying to discern God's plan/will for my life very much when I pray for various life decisions that I make. I generally have prayed - sometimes a lot, sometimes only a bit - and then went with the decision that seemed to make the most sense in allowing me to use the gifts that God has given me for His glory. I believe that I've basically been analyzing situations too much and thinking too much, as opposed to trying to understand where God was leading me.

In that vein, I have a decision coming up in the next couple of months as to where I will move (I rent an apartment and definitely will move somewhere else because my roommate is changing jobs and moving far away) and what church I will call my home (I've narrowed it down to 2).

I believe that logically I've figured out what area makes the most sense to live in, and what church I like the best. I've been praying for these things for a while, especially what church to attend.

My question to all the seasoned Jesus-lovers on this thread is, in what ways can I know where God is leading me in these couple of areas. I believe I know a few of them already, and have followed His lead a couple of times, but I still feel like a beginner in this area and really feel like following God's lead is a BIG part of my relationship with Him.

Anyways, I'd appreciate anyone's opinions/experiences/knowledge on this area of discerning God's will and "listening" to Him for decision making.

God's love to all,

grant
