The only difference is that MSFT will no longer be the only rule
maker.

I agree, and business will be the better for it. MSFT will have
to compete with high quality applications just like everyone else.
I Think they will be a player, but their revenues from software
are going to flatten out as a result.

Competition is healthy for business, now MSFT is finally getting a
taste of it.
