I think the market will start to decline in October. October is a crappy month for stocks in general. With the Y2K problem looming and a possible good run for stocks between now and summer, the market will be ripe for profit taking.

Therefore, my strategy will be to write covered calls on my entire portfolio in about May with Sept strike dates. I will hopefully get called out of them all but enjoy a nice option premium. If not I will sell and be totally in cash from Oct to early 2001. When "doomsday" blows over, I will re-invest in technology stocks for a double or triple in 2000.

Any recation to the above scenario is appreciated. I sincerely plan on executing this plan.

Good luck to all, I've enjoyed reading your ideas.
Chris

disclaimer: part of my strategy is driven by the fact I'll need some cash this summer to put into a house I just built. Landscaping, etc.
