The sector is full of names that are nowhere near the valuations of the big boys, but are loaded with cash and have little or no debt (even now, at the end of a horrible downturn). Look at the balance sheets of SVGI, CYMI, SFAM and many others.....everyone still in this business knows how to survive downturns or they would have been out of business many times before.
