John,

thanks for your well thought out answers. I asked because I came from a place that ALMOST would say that the KJV is the only ""authorised"" bible and I don't believe that. It is also a "version". Writtne in the King's english. (which I hardly understand with my Texas drawl and slang) :o)

I used to use a New American Standard, but since I use mostly online now I have not seen it. But I notice that version also says "everyone" rather than without cause.

But what are chances the KJV has mistranslated that? Look at how the Greek Interlinear says verse 22.

From the Greek to English. (But I tell you that everyone being angry with the brother of him liable shall be to the judgement)

that is Zondervans Greek Interlinear. What do you think?

About the fact that it could be translated as everyone includes Jesus I don't think is a good argument cause look at Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

And yet Jesus is without sin, so is that not good?
