SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE ME.

Sorry if this is off topic. I am wondering what my recourse is for the following broker blunder:

I placed a market order to purchase DCLK at 9:36 this morning. The order did not fill until 10:44 (at a substantially worse price.)

At 9:50 I placed a sell of DCLK and received a fill 9:52.

At 9:58 I placed a buy of DCLK and received a fill within the minute.

As I said the original order, placed at 9:36 did not fill until 10:44.

I called, and they said they will review the time and tape.

My questions are:

(1) Is there some garaunteed fill time for market orders? ie, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, etc.

(2) Am I at the broker's mercy to determine a fair price, or can I go straight to time and tape and make my own case?

(3) What is my recourse, if I am not satisfied with my broker's adjustment?

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

PS: If you placed a buy order for DCLK between 9:36 and 9:45, I would really appreciate a PM telling me your fill time and price.

Thanks again.

I purposely omitted my broker name, because they have not made the adjustment. I don't want to harm their reputation if they do, in fact, satisfy me.
