First of all we're not talking desktop environment, we're talking NT server - i.e. what the article I was commenting on was discussing. Rene, can I get a Unix server from Dell for my home PC? Yep, if you wanted to after having considered the above, you certainly can. Several versions actually, one of the better known being Linux. Did I mention that apart from performing better and being far more stable than NT it's free. My stupid illiterate bean counter here at home bought me a P2-450, with Windows 98! What you do in your home is your business. We're talking about how MS screws up the server market with NT. But can I play Quake on a Unix server? Sure, there's a Quake version for Linux available, thanks to the fact that the people that created Quake share my opinion. But it's beside the point. If MS hadn't monopolized the market you would have been able to play Quake on several other OS platforms. Or look at it the other way around - unless MS is stopped NOW you will soon have NO ALTERNATIVE! Think about it. I find it scary!
