Marc Cohodes, an analyst with Rocker Partners in New York, said the OEM channel represents a dead end of low profit margins. He said the market for new storage devices is saturated and Iomega has brought Click! to market too late with the consumer digital camera business now three years old.

Cohodes expects the company's sales to continue to decline in 1999.

''They don't have much and they don't have much going for them,'' he said
