WHAT DOES matter to this mkt?

1. All the tech stocks at least make or beat earnings expectations. It doesn't matter what they do. As long as it involves silicon chips in some fashion, it's the future.

2. Once they reach an extraordinary price, they must split. After all, when they split, they become cheaper.

3. The Internet keeps on growing. Even if a 400% increase in on-line sales is a jump from $10,000 to $40,000 for a $30/shr internet company operating out of a van down by the river.

4. Alan Greenspan and the Fed keep on lowering rates. No one cares what that implies, just as long as he keeps on doing it.

Oh, and most importantly:

5. The Boss keeps adding to Mr. and Mrs. America's 401Ks.

The only way we're going to BK is to have one or two big mother******* drops that will scare the living daylights out of the herd. Enough to get them to panic and sell, sell, sell just like last October. Unfortunately, there's just way too much confidence that the market is going up in the future that the funds are willing to buy on the dip -- any dip.
