A Suggestion for APPLE:

I was lucky enough to acquire a copy of the Connectix Virtual Gamestation at the Expo. The CVG is a software package that emulates Sony's Gamestation and allows the Mac to run most Playstation games.

Because Connectix did not acquire a license from Sony, there have been legal delays and it may not ever be officially released.

I have run the program and it works...and it works GREAT! It is a simple interface that just asks you to insert the Playstation game CD. It gives you the option to map the keyboard or joystick to match the Sony game pad (if you don't already have one). It then switches the resolutions automatically. You are then a gaming wizard!

The importance of this is being underestimated. With the CVG, suddenly the MAC is vaulted into a leading gaming machine with a huge repertoire of games to choose from. Games drive a large percentage of computer sales.

I would suggest that it is in Apples best interest to see a deal done to allow the release of the CVG. I don't see how this could help but be a big boost to Sony (who claims to loose money on hardware sales), Connectix and especially APPLE.

Thoughts?
