AMD has gained some unit market share at the low margin, low end. Intel still has virtually all of the profit share, even in this segment. AMD investors never have been able to understand the difference between market share expressed in terms of units vs. market share expressed in terms of profit.

<And they are making money.>

Although this is a foreign concept to most AMD investors, they have had brief spells (a quarter or two in a row) of profits in the past. Unfortunately, they don't last long. Enjoy it while you can <g>.
