Larry,

Is there an option in mirc to turn off the column to the right of the messages (who's on the chat)? I am trying to make the most efficient use of desktop space.

The only solution I have to as far as the mirc goes, is to slide the chat window all the way to the right side of your screen and push the list of nicknames out of view.

My desktop consist of a chart, level 2 screen, stocks to watch, an index window and as mentioned above the #daytraders window. Question: when I change the stock symbol in the level 2 screen can i also have it automatically change my chart to the same symbol?

Yes you can link charts to your level II window.

Right click on the upper portion of your Level II window and chose links. Then select the name of your chart(s).

Note; my page,

mbtrading.com

which by the way helped me bank $$$ today, all my stock charts are linked to level II. All I have to do is drag a symbol from the market minder and drop it on the Level II window and all the charts load and I am ready to roll.

Spend as much time as you can at phactor.com

Also, a bandwidth note: I often type in a symbol of a low volume stock into my daily chart and sometimes other charts to conserve on bandwidth.

REAL LIFE EXAMPLE:

Today CIEN exploded, I played it. It was a real quote choker, so when I loaded it into my page, the only way to get reliable quotes was to enter a slow moving stock into all my charts except for one, for me it was the five minute chart, and the level II. I traded it fine and dandy once I filled the other charts with a slow mover ( I use LWAY ). But with CIEN in all my charts it was killing my quotes.

The daily chart seems to be especially inefficient. Tough on the CPU.

Its a bug that I am willing to accept.

best of luck Larry,

Remember, you have the rest of your life to trade up your account, be patient, and don't be afraid to bet small or not at all, until you are confident.

PS keep asking questions, that is what this thread is all about.
