>>>......how many shares are you short, anyhow?
Terp,
Shorting isn't a sufficient cause for me to trash a stock, and buying isn't cause to hype a stock. I buy what I like, I call it like I see it, and I try to ferret out the facts over time.
Shorting CNKT would be too scary. I was waiting for an internet-stock type rally - like I watched CNKT do during the down market yesterday. I don't short yet, anyhow. There's too much chance I'd screw something up. I know my limits.
Just out looking for good stocks with potential. CNKT may have this. The CNKT-IBM press release is what has me interested. I've had three favorite stocks for a half year now (one with a big IBM alliance), but have learned the payoffs are much farther out than I had expected. Might as well branch out.
Some posts came out on SI this afternoon, possibly just shorters with self-serving ammo, but it was on a thread I just found and I like, so it's worth a first glance and a follow up. I'm outside my normal neighborhood these days, so I don't know who's advice to respect at face value.
Here are links to some of the posts I'm referring to: Message 7262783 Message 7263424 Message 7264530
Based primarily on the stock trend and secondarily on the SI posts, I exited to the sidelines late in the game. Lots to absorb. If you can help with the questions these links generate, I'd appreciate it.
Hey LG: Thanks for the heads-up on the technical indicators. I've never understood them, but glancing at my Quote.com technical charts this evening allowed me to see a correlation between some of the indicators and the stock direction. Cool stuff. If I knew this morning what I know this evening...
What's a good book or website for learning technical charts?
Shoe.
P.S.: I hope this isn't a thread for off-topic posts like the previous one. I'm not fond of advertising spam. |
