Bucky, I see you live in the SF Bay Area... I just got the good news/bad news scenario from DNAI in Berkeley...

Good: DSL will be available to me in Lafayette by the end of January!

Bad: I live 3 miles from the station; 2.7 miles is the max for 384kb and I have to live with 144kb. $150/month and a $550 box. YUCH! Our office is using an Ascend Pipeline 50 for ISDN and I can use the old box when we put DSL at work, but then my max speed will be 128KB for the same $150/month.

All through DNAI (ISP) and Covad. I guess 24hour/day, 128KB, no phone charges for $150/month isn't so bad, but I really was looking forward to 384kb/384kb.

RATS.
