Tom,

Is xinside the same as Xi Graphics (www.xi-graphics.com) ?
I've seen another reference to xinside but could never find
their WWW site. Xi-Graphics has the SGI monitor on the front
page of their WWW site announcing they support it and the
number nine card. They also have announced their OpenGL accelerated
X with *hardware acceleration*, rather than just software
acceleration. One of the 10 cards listed as having initial support in
the demo release is the number nine IV card also. I am
using Red Hat Linux 5.2 and and can't wait until Xi-Graphics does a
full release of their new OpenGL product with hardware
acceleration. Goodby Mesa.

I guess there are about 10 million Linux users drooling right
now over the prospect of that flat panel monitor, number nine
card, all with OpenGL hardware acceleration. After paying $1,800
for my current 21 inch monitor I guess $2,300 isn't too much
more than that.
