David: On my visit to Franklin, I did see the antennae that they are using to hook up businesses via wireless to the POPs. I don't know if anyone has discussed this plan of Frank's for awhile. It is to allow businesses to hook up to the internet POP without having to hard wire from the business complex to the POP. It is a great idea, however, the U-NII band is somewhat limited. Reliable service is limited to a radius line of sight of about 3 miles. If you have high-rises in the way, that would be a problem. Weather conditions could be another problem. So, I am not convinced yet that this proposal will work out as well as some believe. It's another fish in the pan, though.
