Something's up at Motorola #3

via MacObservor

>More-Follow Up, Apple Sources Confirm Speculation We now have sources at Apple that have confirmed some aspects of our speculation. The Motorola activity is not related to the P1 (or WebMate) product, but may have something to do with the rumored MacMate. We will not be more specific in order to protect Apple's interests.

What we can say is that if our sources are correct, Apple has a killer product or two on the way that will blow away the market. A Sony-sized success is very likely!

[Editor's Note: It is always hard to make the decision on what to run and what not to run when uncovering stories like this one. In this case we think it would be harmful to Apple's plans and interests to make public what we know.]

The Mac Observer: While selling more portable units is important for Apple in and of itself, an even bigger side issue is the effect it could have on Apple CPU sales. Make a handheld attractive enough and it will also make Apple's G3 and iMac lines more attractive. Things keep looking better and better every day!<
