In 1996, many computer investment advisories and quote systems were listing GRDN as Garden State Bancshares, i.e. Garden State Bank. I think that NASD exchange officials hoped to confuse amateur investors to help steal their money by letting Oliver North use another firm's symbol as his brokers cold called people with limited access to quote machines. I will always remember NASD officials and Guardian as Mafia Mobsters due to some of their brokers, and courageous Business Week Magazine research. You should rename yourself from "Cookie Monster" to "Keebler Devil" if you are an advocate of them. It was a clever way of keeping some Guardian and Landmark news secret from some computer users.
