What an interesting couple of days.

I really like FLEX holding up so well against the onslaught after the split. Somebody is buying it big time going into the earnings report on the 22nd.

I thought the Intel report last night was very positive for this sector. Intel sold 30 million processors last quarter, AMD sold over 5 million, so the PC sales must be on fire.

Some really interesting stuff after the market close today:

-Solectron announced a split and is raising $500M thru bond sales.
-Nortel Networks announced a hugh outsourcing/restructuring move that should I think should directly help the sector gain $5B+ in revenues.
Jabil should directly benefit.

During the day there were rumors of innerlayer core shortages among board makers; in particular hadco is supposedly buying cores on the market. (Creditman- could you comment on this?) This news apparently caused BBRS (Keith Dunne to downgrade HDCO). See my posts on the Hadco thread for links to more info. I find all this confusing.
