JDS Fitel Inc. (T.JDS), Nepean, Ont., said the growth in sales continued to be driven by the strength of the telecommunications industry. It said the component and modules product area continued its "strong growth," accounting for C$75.8 million in revenues for the second quarter, compared with C$34.5 million a year earlier.
It said the instrument product area accounted for C$15.8 million in revenues, up 31% from C$12.1 million a year earlier.
JDS Fitel makes and distributes fiber-optic commmunications products.
