Re Greenline - Yes, I have cable and the old phone modem. The speed of webbroker has actually increased over the last week. My old URL is automatically being forwarded to a new site. (scared me security wise at first) Distinct improvement.

The problem with webbroker is the lack off seeing the bid ask high low volume of all the stocks you are following at what time. Micromax's option 1 is far, far better. IF I have the time, I have Micromax up and webbroker at the same time. It used to be you saved an extra 10% if you placed the actual order through webbroker. I do not know if this is still true.

To increase the speed at Greenline, I will place all orders for the next week at prices that will not be filled anytime soon. This gives the backroom boys the opportunity to ensure I have the stock or money as the case may be and that the account in question supports options or whatever. Then when the time comes and I know what price I want, I just change the order and it goes to the floor instantly (no further checking is needed at Greenline's end).
