Hi thanh dao; About those cheap computers...

When you suggested that computers could be built much cheaper with "all parts are integrated and no human labor." you really hit the nail on the head. That is exactly how computers will become cheaper.

There was a time when a pocket calculator had a bunch of un-integrated components and was hand soldered by humans. And they cost $500 each, (back in '79 dollars!). Now pocket calculators are fully integrated with no human labor. And most of the pocket calculator companies of the late 70s went out of business. The remaining survivors do big business, but it isn't considered a big profit source, or a huge growth business. (TXN, HWP).

Wish I'd been trading yesterday instead of busting my (insert vulgar term for human anatomy here) on this engineering project...

The Seattle Times yesterday had a front page article about locals small time investors who hit it big time on AMZN. This is either an indication of the top, or a signal for all the lagards to buy in for the final run up...
