I have a challenge for GLGC--how about finding
a bunch of shiftworkers who have died on the
graveyard shift...gather up their suprachiasmatic
nucleus and compare it to shiftworkers who do okay
working rotating shifts.

fyi...rotating shifts is part of the reason why
my eyes snap open in the middle of the night, and
I start posting these messages on SI:-)

But maybe the rest of the problem is genetic--after
all, the men in my family all have sleep problems...
my dad does not sleep well at all, just four hours
of tossing and turning each night, I'm always screwed
up, and my brother goes to sleep at noon every day
(although his problem is phycological...OCD apparently,
but which came first, the sleep disorder or the psyche)

Anyway...I like to barf up a post like this one every
now and then to see what comes back. Henry--I would
imagine you too saw the article which got me thinking
...am I nuts? Did I manage to ask a good question?
