TAF, But traders should also realize they can make a living by trading only the slower days, when systems are more dependable. Volatile days are "sexy" but every trading day spits out a lot of stocks with big price moves. The trader's risk rises sharply on volatile days as slippage goes through the roof. This is true whether you have to wait 45 min on the phone for Brown to answer or you get repeated "locked-crossed" market rejections on ISLD because your order has a hidden 10 sec delay. The good news is within the next 3-5 years, net connections should become lightning fast and as dependable as the dial tone. Alan
