T'was I that compared lumber to trees...not because they are similar, becasue, as you point out, one is renewable, the other not. But I wanted to show why Madera would rather buy trees cut on somebody else's property rather than sell trees cut on their own, and used oil wells for the example.

The comparison was meant to go no further than that.
