Hi Marty and ALL,

Marty said, "As was suggested by another poster a while back I am perfectly willing to forward on to management any and all possible leads and ideas."

Marty,

This is just an idea that has been needling me for quite some time now. This pertains to the price of the CD's on our site. According to Dixie's post, we aren't in the CD biz, we're in the Music Card business. Selling the music card to get exposure is the number 1 priority, right now. This point is very important from a business standpoint. I think that there needs to be more of a draw for potential customers to buy the card. That draw could be very simply, PRICE OF CD's. The competition in the CD business is intense, the main thing people look for is low price. I am not sure what the company's wholesale cost is for the CD's, but if the card price could be lowered by $2 or so and still make money, that $8.99 price for CD's could be enough to sway more people to buy the card. After they buy the card, they may even be more inclined to purchase a few more CD's than they would have.

Speaking as a retail consumer, a price of $10.99 for a CD plus shipping does not excite me. However, a price of $8.99 or so plus shipping per CD would make me take a second look. With the competition from music clubs now going online, not to mention the other online CD sales, we need a price break to really make people take a look at us.

The Music Card plus an unbelievably low price for CD's is the ultimate draw in my opinion. As Dixie has said, WE ARE IN THE MUSIC CARD BUSINESS NOT THE CD BUSINESS. A new site in a month and a half plus a price cut would be a tremendous double whammy.

Keep up all the good work and keep those partnerships coming.

JMO
