The Globe's Dennis Slocum writes that the TSE 300 is widely viewed as a resource-oriented barometer of price movement and the changes will allow the key market indicator to better reflect an increasingly diversified Canadian economy. The stocks to be deleted are Abacan Resource, Allelix Biopharmaceuticals, Breakwater Resources, Delrina Corp. Exchangeable, Golden Star Resources, Harmac Pacific, Indochina Goldfields, LionOre Mining International, Lumonics, Miramar Mining, Orvana Minerals, Rio Narcea Gold Mines, Repap Enterprises, Spar Aerospace, SR Telecom and WIC Western International Communications.
