B: HyperDynamics Launches Electronic Commerce and HyperTech Commentary

HOUSTON (Jan. 14) BUSINESS WIRE -Jan. 14, 1999--HyperDynamics
Corporation (OTC BB:HYPD) announced today its strategic plan for
e-commerce. The company also reported a new service, "The HyperTech
Commentary," to provide explanations to the technically oriented
business plans of various publicly traded Internet-related companies.

Through its wholly owned subsidiary MicroData Systems Inc.,
HyperDynamics is preparing its web site for a complete e-commerce
presence. MicroData is a certified reseller for Great Plains Software
(Nasdaq:GPSI). Great Plains is the developer of the Great Plains CS+
SQL mid-range accounting system platform. In addition to its primary
accounting modules, Great Plains has also developed its "Next
Generation e-business applications" including the "Dynamics.Commerce"
product. Designed to use Microsoft's (Nasdaq:MSFT) SQL server
relational database and the Microsoft Site Server-Commerce Edition,
this electronic business platform allows HyperDynamics both to provide
an e-commerce means of selling its subsidiaries' products and also to
help implement and support completely integrated e-commerce systems for
its customers. HyperDynamics will focus heavily on developing the
web-based front ends to integrate with this powerful platform.

HyperDynamics President and CEO Kent Watts stated, "One big difference
in our e-commerce strategy is that we will provide completely
integrated e-commerce systems for larger firms as well as hosting
services for smaller companies. Additionally, because of the Great
Plains partnership, our e-commerce solution will be a complete front
office to back office and inventory control system that will, by
design, be tightly integrated with the accounting system. This approach
provides a much higher degree of efficiency that will increase our
customers' bottom line. The HyperDynamics approach has a distinct
advantage over fragmented approaches because it allows a company to
maintain a perpetual inventory system that automatically reconciles
with the general ledger without duplicating data entry." Examples of
"Dynamics.Commerce"-based e-commerce sites can be found at
 www.artuframe.com and www.holtoutlet.com.

In addition to its e-commerce launch, HyperDynamics also will be
unveiling a service directed to the Internet community called "The
HyperTech Commentary." This page on the company's web site at
www.hyd.net will provide explanations to the technically oriented
business plans of various publicly traded Internet-related companies.

Watts said, "This service will be provided free of charge to
HyperDynamics' investors, customers and other interested parties. We
hope the intense interest in the Internet-related companies will bring
traffic to our web site." Beginning commentaries will be provided on
 Amazon.Com (Nasdaq:AMZN), America Online (NYSE:AOL), Cisco Systems
 (Nasdaq:CSCO), E-Trade (Nasdaq:EGRP), EBAY (Nasdaq:EBAY), GeoCities
 (Nasdaq:GCTY), Netscape (Nasdaq:NSCP), Yahoo! (Nasdaq:YHOO), Earthweb
 (Nasdaq:EWBX), and UBID (Nasdaq:UBID).
