Scumbria, those of us who were smart enough to buy on the October dip after earnings are still sitting on substantial profits.
PIII will hit 500MHz+ next month
March 1, according to Mr. Engel, so AMD just one speed bin behind for the entire quarter. AMD was two speed bins behind Intel for half of Q4.

The reaction today is overdone. On 11/10/98, the First Call estimate was TEN CENTS and some were questioning whether there would even be a profit. The stock price was 26 1/2 on 11/10. This is a good time to pick up some more AMD. I sold my January calls for a profit today and reinvested in Aprils.
