I've already thought about that. As far as I know the mask problem was fixed 6 weeks ago. With a 10 week wafer process, that leaves 4 more weeks before these new wafers come through. That puts it in the 2nd week of February. So we don't know but AMD must have run some rocket lots on the new mask wafers and are pretty sure they have fixed the problem.
To be sure the whole mask problem is an embarrassment. So they fix it but the time lost cannot be regained and the extra profits this quarter are lost.
Mind you, I don't hold any AMD stock. I may in the near future though.
