I finally got to see a 1999 Electric Ranger today at a Construction and Architectural Supply show here in Albuquerque. Now I'm really hyped. It had the lead acid batteries but, the dealer said the vehicle is available with the NiMH battery today, here in NM. Total purchase price, 38K. Lease for 349/month (36 months). The dealer also mentioned that it was wiser to lease at this stage, because the technology is changing so fast that in 3 years the vehicle would be obsolete. Well Don, I can't say that I know exactly how you feel while you're driving around in your vehicle, but I do feel very excited about the whole idea of having an electric vehicle.
