Hi Jimm2, and welcome also! We look forward to your contributions in the future.

You have probably learned that the BTTT system is simple, and that there are not any set screens we use, but instead we look for stocks making new highs in the last 3-6 months, or new lows, that are basing or pulling back in the short term. Technical indicators are then applied to time the entry as the trend resumes, and to the exit as it begins to fade again.

Ken praises me too highly about timing: I am finding that I am rather good at finding the right trade (about half the battle), and getting in at a reasonable level, but either hold too long to the bad ones or let go too soon of the good ones.

But I, and we, are all learning here, and that makes even the losses valuable.

As for me, I try to call out trades as I come across them. Not all of them I trade myself. It depends on cash on hand. I don't use any charting software, or have a data provider. I log in to several free sites for ideas, read several SI threads, check on rec's. given to me by friends (who themselves are successful traders), and every Saturday buy the IBD to scan for New Highs and EPS strength.

As for results, it all seems to be working. We're not retiring anytime soon, but we sure are beating the heck out of the mutual funds I hold.

Good luck, TC.
