<<Truth, I find the idea to be very slippery. It is often vague.>>

It is know able as in the example I gave, you. That you choose to try to politicize the concept of truth instead of taking personal responsibility for it, does make it unnattainable and as you said, "This sort of truth is just a cloud of little substance." Not applicable at all in this sense.

One of the strongest forms of evidence in our court system is the testimony of witnesses who've sworn to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Especially, for example, in the case of a confession. Of course, it can still be slippery but the person making the confession, or with holding it, knows the truth. Eliminate that from the justice system and you have little or nothing left. Sanctioning perjury as a minor issue is moving us down that path.

You are dismissing the idea of truth too easily. You may need to consider it someday, pal. Confidence in your resources is a handy thing. I suppose there is a measured amount of confidence in being able to dismiss truth as a factor in anything and anybody you have to deal with. Sure, you want to go that way?

Give truth a chance.
