Hard to tell in this Brazilian environment what is going on with Intel. A couple of things are clear though:
1) AMD stumbles & misses targets
2) Intel has an agressive roadmap
3) AMD has an agressive roadmap
4) Both will be transitioning to .18 shortly

So the real question for me is which one:
a) Is well managed
b) Is likely to make the manufacturing transition smoothly
c) Markets well
d) Is financially robust
e) Historically tends to meet commitments

My vote would be four or five out of five for Intel.
I see a modest window of opportunity for AMD, but in my view they haven't helped themselves enough in the last quarter. Even if they execute perfectly they have their work cut out for them. Sometimes you can throw 10 heads in a row with a true coin. But not often.

Good investing,
Burt
