There's supposed to be an adaptor so you can use a regular SCSI drive on the iMac. I'd spring for that (not expensive, I think), back up to a regular SCSI drive, booting from it, and would reformat the original drive, then set up the original drive with 8.5 first, then restore the data to it.

Yes, I suppose AAPL is a bargain now, for leaps or shares, but I don't have a heart for it after losing this much money. Maybe I'll feel differently in a few days.
