IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!
Here are the TRUE FACTS:
1. Teltek Communications International, Inc. received a Section 214 authorization " for authority to operate as a facilities-based carrier in accordance with the provision of Section 63.18(e)(1) of the rules and also to provide servie in accordance with the provision of Section 63.18(e)(2) of the rules." This is under the category of Facilities-based/Global and Resale Services under the title: "Overseas Common Carrier Section 214" of the Federal Communications Commission, and is dated November 14, 1996. The authorization number is TC-96-524.
2. On November 25, 1996, the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California granted Teltek Wireless Identification Number U-4205-C "to begin switched cellular service to the public in California....." (Note: I don't think this authority has anything to do with the announcement in the Press Release)
I have both these documents in full and if you want I can scan them when I get home. Furthermore, it was clarified to me that the 5,000,000 minutes referenced in the Press Release is PER MONTH. Furthermore, it was made clear to me that the necessary facilities are in place right NOW to start this service, and that DGIV is looked upon, among other things, to assist in marketing this service, i.e., US to China telecommunications, as part of the joint venture.
