Give it time, options premiums don't calm down until the stock has started trading in a set range for forty days. however, given the negative psychology on erp, and the way the stock is acting, i'd wait until after the pre-release warning period at the end of the month (probably february 7th or so) and then consider buying.

given the discussions and sentiment i would strongly bet against 1999 or 2000 earnings going higher near term. I'd rather buy the stock at $28 on it's way back up to $40 plus than at $21.50 on it's way to $15. that said in this frothy market, when companies blow up, the stock seems to go higher. (See JDAS and HYSL)

caveat: I am short a small amount of JDEC (and SAP)
