I wonder how effective the ATT attack will be unless it can produce a system that's as efficient for both voice and data as CDMA. The local GSM in my area has nothing that can compete with the Sprint PCS service and is merely countering with free incoming calls. What will happen when the pdQ comes to market and becomes popular and well known by the publicity it is already receiving? What will the GSMs say to their customers who want a similar device? I guess it's time for the GSMs to put up or shut up.
