Okay Mark...one last time. I love the Mac. It's my livelihood. I use it 10 hours a day. Nuff said about the Mac as a piece of hardware. This thread is one of many that make up Silicon INVESTOR. My point? While the machine is great, the investment is questionable. Isn't that what this site is all about? Prove it to yourself: measure the appreciation of this box maker against DELL. My shares of Dell (factoring in this nasty downturn of some 3 days) is up 36% in the past three months. How much has Apple stock appreciated during that same period. That's the same kind of rationale that the Street uses to arrive at value. Its called growth and look at a Dell chart – 1 year, 2 year or whatever and you'll see that line continue to go in a northerly direction. What do you see when you apply the same to Apple. I love the machine. I've almost had one of every flavor, professionally speaking, since the Mac Plus. I just don't think the stock has the kind of legs that a lot of people on this thread talk about.
