The remnant markets are primarily in low
density areas where LMDS is not competitive.

The truly interesting auction will the 39Ghz
auction, where 16 100Mhz licenses will be put up
for bidding in each BTA. If IXCs are reassessing
their decision to sit out of the LMDS auction, they
will show up for the 39Ghz auction. Note also that
because the spectrum will be sold disaggregated in
small 100Mhz slices, no bidder (ILECs, cable companies)
is excluded from the 39Ghz auction.
