My sincere apologies Rich -- I goofed up! I only checked the models in the "Online Store" on the Compaq web site, which happen to be new models which all have Aureal 8820 PCI audio. Apparently these are special models for direct buying (it's getting really confusing at Compaq). I overreacted and thought ESST had lost all PCI audio design wins for the Presario series (which obviously is the case only for specific models). Here's the link to the Presario models on the "Online Store" page that confused me. athome.compaq.com I am highly bullish on ESST's PCI audio, especially for the reasons you mention, and especially for high-volume corporate desktops (I didn't get out of CRUS for nothing). I just like to be a little skeptical. Thanks for providing reason for an extra bit of confidence in ESST. Have a nice day too, Synapsid
