Bill: in snooping around the threads, the brokerages are getting revenge on the daytraders...websites fail to operate, brokers are handling the trades by hand, or orders cannot be filled. The next few days are going to be interesting. I'm not ever going to short SPY again...the index has things like Bear Stearns sitting at book value- they have half the short interest on the NYSE, so if the nifties go down BSC can rise up to prop up the index...it's a self-leveling index. Kinda makes it difficult to guess the odds on a kahuna.
