Frank. I can't advice you on what to do at this time. When it comes to peace of mind everybody has to do their own thing.
I will be hanging on. You are right. The gains from this year are gone if you look at the DOW. But I can't believe that your profits are gone. AOL alone should offset anything you could possibly have lost and what about Intel? Did you lose all the profits from it this year? How about Dell, Csco, Msft etc? Lighten up on some things if you are really worried. How about taking your profit in AOL? I am sure it will take quite some time before you could lose your profits in your other stocks.

I am staying the course since I have still very nice gains for this year. If I did not, maybe I would feel different. At this point I still think that the bulls will have the last laugh before April is over.

Some are so worried about Latin America now. But I heard quite a few analysts say that some money managers and investors are saying: "Wait a minute, I have seen this before. Nobody dies in the end" and the big sell off started again when the rumors went around that Brazil will float their currency. Well, I also heard that Brazil has denied this.

I have made no bones about it that I feel that the markets will be very volatile. Every investor has to make up his own mind if he can stand the heat in the kitchen. One would think that you never have gone through this. Look at it this way. Is your portfolio worth more now than a cpl days before Black Monday? Would you have made more having your money in the Bank? Would you have made more money had you gone into Bonds? If you feel uneasy at your young age, go 50% bond and 50% stock.

I will talk to you again about this next week if I am not broke by that time. gg.

Sorry for being so late answering. I took my mind off the market by watching the Senate hearings. I just checked my portfolio and I am still in business. My latest Intel investment is a bummer today.

Sonny

Oops. I was ready to read all the posts. But I guess everybody is in shock or sold out. gg.
